The Canton Men’s Track & Field Team finished in 6th place out of 16 teams in the KLAA Conference Championships meet held Friday May 10th at Novi High School.
For the third consecutive year the team won the individual conference championship in the Pole Vault with Evan Carter placing first with a season’s best vault of 14’0″. Drew LaBelle also placed 5th in the event with a vault of 12’6″.
In the High Jump competition, Chris Kight placed 3rd with a jump of 6’0″. In the Long Jump competition, Caden Domzalski placed 2nd with a jump of 20’4.5″ and Evan Carter placed 5th with a jump of 19’9.25″
Other scoring for the Chiefs was done by Donovan King ,6th in the 300m Hurdles in 41.47, Caden Domzalski 8th in the 100m Dash in 11.53 sec, the 3200m Relay Team of Daniel Carr, Alex Poe, Srikar Komanduri, and Grant Hoffmeyer 5th in 8:21.84, the 800m Relay Team of Jawuan Frazier, Nathan Srivastava, Yusuf Jafri, and Donovan King 4th in 1:35.42, the 400m Relay Team of Evan Carter, Nathan Srivastava, Sam Radwanski, and Jawuan Frazier 8th place in 46.18, and the 1600m Relay Team of Donovan King, Daniel Car, Garrett Nagelhout, and Grant Hoffmeyer finishing 5th with a time of 3:34.40.
The Team next competes in the MHSAA State Regional Meet next Friday May 17th being held at the PCEP Varsity Track
