The Chiefs Competed in the Regional Championships today at Willow Metro Park. Varsity was represented by Garrett Nagelhout, Grant Hoffmeyer, Joe Michalak, Daniel Jimenez, Daniel Carr, Josh Knoll, and Sai Vepa.

The Canton boys finished with three new Personal Records and a new team record.

Josh (17:39) and Sai each ran personal record times. Sai’s 17:25 is the 26th fastest Sophomore time in school history.

Daniel Jimenez finished in 17:09. That was good for his second fastest time this year.

Daniel Carr’s 17:01 was only two seconds off of his personal best.

Garrett struggled with a knee injury and still finished with an impressive 16:58.

Grant ran an incredible,tough race and appeared to be on the way to a personal best time but he was unable to finish, falling near the end of the race.

Joe Michalak qualified for the State Finals with a Career best 16:21. Joe is now the fastest Sophomore in the history of Canton High School. He will race Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.
