Saturday (9/20)
P-CEP Field Hockey traveled to Maumee Valley, OHIO for a tournament.
Varsity played Maumee Valley Hawks bright and early.  It was a tight game  going into halftime score was 0-1.  Alivia Stone played solid defense.  We could not sink the several corners.Second half was tough with P-CEP falling 0-2.
P-CEP Varsity started their second game 10 minutes later playing Ottawa Hills Green Bears.  They started off strong by scoring on a corner in the 1st quarter.  Avery James, goalie, did an amazing job of protecting our goal.  In the start of the second half, Elizabeth Burnham crossed to Emily Foss who shot it in for a P-CEP score.  Casey Triffle and Beall Bozinovski played solid defence in the second half, unfortunately The Green Bears pulled a 1-5 win.
 
P-CEP JV Field Hockey played hard against Maumee.  They had a great first half keeping the Hawks from scoring. Maumee found opportunities to score in the 3rd making the score 0-2.  In the fourth quarter Maumee put 2 more in the net with a final score of 0-4.
 
Monday, (9/22)
P-CEP Girls Field Hockey Varsity hosted Hartland on the West Turf.  Hartland was successful in one of the 3 corners in the second quarter and another in the top of the 3rd quarter.  Avery James and GillianGransden worked well at defending our goal.P-CEP made good on a corner inserted by Jaclyn Schlanser and received by Elizabeth Burnham who was able to dribble to the center and powered into the net.   Casey Triffle and Olivia Weiss played solid defense in the 4th quarter and P-CEP had 5 shots on goal but were unable to steal the win.  Final score was 1-1
 
Hartland came to Plymouth and brought a physical game but the P-CEP squad was up for the challenge!  Most of the 1st quarter was a defensive battle and ended scoreless at 0-0.  Late in the 2nd quarter after several drives and corners, Ainsley Bright was able to break open the score, 1-0 at halftime.  P-CEP came out determined in the 2rd, and had several great drives, including a near miss by Addison Laurus in the corner, 1-0 after 3.  Haven Hessenbruch got a shot in the 4th that went in but was waved off.  After 4 hard fought quarters, P-CEP JV was victorious with a final score of 1-0.
