On behalf of the MHSAA and Super Bowl Lanes we look forward to your school participating in the Division 1 Bowling Region #5 competition February 28-29, 2020.  Please review the following information regarding the event and call with any questions. (734-416-7777)


ENTRY PROCEDURES – Send Roster and Master Eligibility lists by Feb. 1st to:  Vernon Crump Sr. , Tournament Manager, Canton High School via  FAX at: 734-927-0153, or e-mail:  Entry materials and information are on the MHSAA Web.  Canton High School will be the official host school.  Late entrys will be assessed a $50 late fee.


DATES – Team, Friday, February 28 – Singles, Saturday, February 29


LOCATION – Super Bowl Lanes, 45100 Ford Road, Canton, MI 48187 Ph. – (734) 459-6070


TIME SCHEDULE – Registration will begin @ 9:00 am both days – start time 10:00 am both days – coaches meeting @ 9:30 am


FEES – Team: $2.40 per game = $50.40 per team (21 games) / Singles: $2.40 x 6 games = $14.40 per child (6 bowlers $86.40) – if you bring a girls team, boys team, 6 girls for singles, 6 boys for singles = $273.60 ($136.80 per team).  Payment may be sent in advance to the tournament manager or brought to Super Bowl Lanes at the time of check-in.  Make checks payable to Super Bowl Lanes.


COACHING – Each school team will be allowed admission for two coaches in each gender.  Two coaches for each gender are allowed in the bowling area during competition.


ADMISSION  – There will be a $6 admission charge for all spectators.  Pre-school children are admitted free.  All school guests must be on the guest list and returned before the competition begins.  NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING.


PRACTICE – Bowlers may practice at Super Bowl Lanes prior to the MHSAA Regional dates during normal open bowling times at normal rates.  No practice is allowed on days of MHSAA competition.


PARKING – Athletes/Coaches will enter in the East Doors (middle doors), buses can park in the back North Parking lot – parents/spectators will enter in the North & South doors at either ends of the alleys.


CONCESSIONS –  Super Bowl Lanes will provide a full service concession stand.  No food or beverages may be brought in by parents, bowlers or coaches.


FORMAT –   In singles, each bowler will bowl six games, with the top 10 advancing to the MHSAA Finals.  In team, each team bowls 6 Baker games (alternating lanes) and 3 regular games with the top 3 teams advancing to the Finals.  Ties for first place and advancing teams and/or individuals will be broken.


RULES –  Please review all MHSAA regulations in the Bowling Coaches Manual regarding dress code, coaching restrictions, etc.  All USBC playing rules will apply to the competition.


LANE CONDITIONS – The “Allen” lane pattern will be used for the competition.
