Summer Conditioning: for new & returning players

Begins June 25th – July 27th (no conditioning the week of July 4th)

Captains run conditioning and will contact players and maintain communication throughout the summer.

  • Incoming 9th graders must have a sport physical turned in to the athletic office to participate in the summer conditioning. See the school website for the form.
  • The expectation is that if you are in town and not in Summer School, you will be in attendance it leads to future success as a player and the team.  It is a great time to change your serve and hit a few hundred tennis balls along with playing matches to work on your overall game.

Varsity:

Those hoping to try out for varsity should try to participate in at least 2 local tournaments.  Find a way to play matches against others if the tournaments don’t work. Many local clubs set up “Match Play” giving you a chance to play competitively.  Many players need to practice for confidence. Go to www.usta.org for more information on local tournaments.

Current High School Students Team Meeting:

June 7, 2018  2:30-3:00 for current high school boys, new and returning.  We will meet in the Canton Pit area in front of the counseling office

* No vacations or appointments should occur once the season begins on August 8th.  The season only lasts 2 ½ months which does not leave time to miss practice. We do play every day and many Saturdays.
