Multiple Teams · Andrew LaFata Named Head Varsity Football Coach at Canton High School


The Canton Athletic Department is excited to have selected Andrew LaFata as the new leader of it’s varsity football program.  He will be the 6th head football coach in the schools history.  Coach LaFata earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Eastern Michigan University. He is a graduate of Canton High School class of 2006 and began coaching with the program in 2008 as an offensive line coach. He has been the head junior varsity coach since 2015, as well as the varsity offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator. He was inducted into the inaugural Canton High School Hall of Fame, as a member of the 2005 state finalist football team and is a proud Canton Chief.  In true Chief fashion, Coach LaFata has worked his way through the ranks to earn the position of Varsity Head Coach at Canton High School.
