Meet Recap

The Canton Varsity Boys finished 7th today at the Wayne County Championships.

Shane Andrews led the Chiefs on a warm, windy day with an impressive 16:30. Shane’s time is the 4th fastest in school history at this event and the 10th fastest at this course.

Garrett Nagelhout finished 2nd for Canton breaking 17 minutes for the first time. His 16:59 is 50th fastest in course history, 17th fastest at this course, 25th fastest this century, and he is now the 2nd fastest Freshman in school history.

David Kight stepped up with a career best 17:26. That time puts him 45th in Canton’s history at the Wayne County Championship and 35th fastest this century.

4th and 5th for the Chiefs were Daniel Jimenez and Braden Heimbaugh. Daniel ran his 2nd fastest time this year (17:37) and broke his personal record for this race. Braden’s 17:55 was his 2nd fastest time this year as well.
